|
| Q: | What are the first time pass rates for the Yacht Engineer exams ? |
| A: | The first time pass rates for the Yacht Engineer exams are presently very low, in the order of 20%.
The reasons are many and varied for this low figure, however, a major problem is that candidates are not doing their own studying prior to attending the mandatory five day course at an approved maritime training establishment.
The MCA recommend at lest SIX WEEKS self learning for EACH module.
The reason why Yotskool was set up was to assist in the self learning period, by giving each candidate access to similar training notes used by the maritime establishments, plus testing throughout each lesson, plus actual past MCA exams at the end of each training module, thereby increasing the low first time pass rate figure. |
