MCA Y4 Examination Requirements

(Note: No eligibility is Required to take any Yotskool course!)

The MCA Y4 course consists of the following modules -Click on one of the links below for individual course requirements and to purchase the online course that you need

The minimum age required for each y4 course is 19 years.
Must hold a Valid UK Medical Fitness Certificate (ENG 1)
Must have a Notice of Eligibility (NOE)
Completed 42 months service as yacht engineer with at least six months accumulated actual sea service; OR
completed a UK engineering craft apprenticeship, acceptable to the MCA plus 12 months service as yacht engineer with at least six months accumulated actual sea service; OR
12 months service as yacht engineer (with at least six months accumulated actual sea service) whilst holding a MEOL (Yacht).
Completed the following basic ancillary courses:-
Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
Completed the following advanced ancillary courses:-
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Training in Advanced Fire Fighting and Proficiency in Medical First Aid.
