The following are required to achieve Y2 Status Certification.
Valid UK Medical Fitness Certificate (ENG 1)
Notice of Eligibility (NOE)
24 months service as a yacht engineer with at least 12 months accumulated actual sea service whilst holding a Yacht 4 Certificate of Competency; OR
15 months service as a yacht engineer with at least 9 months accumulated actual sea service whilst holding a Yacht 3 Service Endorsement.
Completed the following basic ancillary courses:-
Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
Completed the following advanced ancillary courses:-
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Training in Advanced Fire Fighting and Proficiency in Medical First Aid. |
